Twin Valley Electric Cooperative serves over 3,200 electric meters in parts of four counties in Southeast Kansas and is headquartered in Altamont, Kansas. The new 22,000 square foot facility provides for a modern, efficient environment for members and employees to conduct their business. Twin Valley Electric Cooperative’s old facility had become very inefficient and lacked the functionality necessary to respond effectively to its members’ needs.
CBS designed the new facility with improved accessibility for both the members and the public. Safety and security of the cooperative’s members, employees, and equipment was a primary goal for the cooperative. Provisions have been made to protect the assets of the cooperative and assure their employees and crews are able to respond quickly in emergencies. Line equipment and vehicles are stored inside, and hardened construction protects employees and critical equipment during storms.
